Procrastinating homework is delaying or postponing completing the assignment. Despite the amount of homework that ends up accumulating due to procrastination, students may end up procrastinating because of stress or lack of energy due to excessive commitments outside of school.

Both Amy Yu (10) and Amy Zhang (11) are new to tutoring, only starting in the last two years. However, in both cases they had students improve their grades.

Extra credit is an opportunity for struggling students to achieve their desired grade on an assignment. In today’s hectic world, there are many reasons why students might not get the best grades, making extra credit an effective way to lessen a student’s stress about school.

JUUL e-cigarettes have high levels of nicotine with one pod containing as much nicotine as 20 cigarettes. EVALI is a serious, sometimes fatal, lung disease caused by vaping, and thousands of cases have been reported.
Administration combats the vaping crisis
Depicted are just a few kinds of the vapes that skyrocketed teenage nicotine addiction. Vapes and e-cigarettes come in many different shapes and sizes, but most commonly, they look similar to flash drives, which allows them to go unnoticed by those unaware of what vapes are.

Joshua Leow, Sports Team Leader

Joshua Leow is a senior and a second-year staff member. As Sports Team Leader, he is interested in sports, especially tennis. Josh plays tennis and trains five to six days a week. In addition to sports, Josh also enjoys playing violin. Starting from a young age of 5, he has made All West every year that he tried out, including two stints as the concertmaster. Another big part of Josh’s life is Highland Youth Group, where he is heavily involved in. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and family.
