Jeff Blumberg(11) gathers around with close friends to enjoy the hot pot experience. They share this meal during a cool summer night.

Platters of raw ingredients are gathered around steamy cauldrons and the aroma of spices fills the air. Many believe hot pot is not just a meal, but an interactive dining experience that fosters connections with family and friends.

“I found it was opening pretty recently,” Jeff  Blumberg (11) said. “I was out with my friends visiting a Spirit Halloween and I saw a sign saying it was going to open soon. I’ve been to 901 Hot Pot several times and I’m a huge fan.”

901 Hot Pot offers a diverse selection of ingredients for many customers, ranging from various types of meat to an abundance of vegetables and fruit. They offer options for customers to enjoy their food with either a flavored broth of their choice or being able to grill their assortment of ingredients.

“I always get short [ribs], pork belly and bulgogi. I love bulgogi,” University of Memphis student Jack Hyunh said.

With an array of  possibilities spread across the steamy pots and simmering grills, 901 Hot Pot transforms into a culinary playground where individual preferences and culinary passions take center stage.

For those who have never had a hot pot experience, it could come off as a daunting task.

“It’s more than what I can put into words… it’s such a unique experience,”  Blumberg said. “I’d  say go there and get what you like and then the next time you go it’d be a completely new experience.”

Embedded within the cultural tapestry of communities, hot pot stands as more than just a dish; it represents a tradition passed down through generations.

“I have had hot pot throughout my entire life,” Matthew He (11) said. “It’s just a part of my culture… eating with family and friends.”

901 Hot Pot offers a variety of ingredients for customers to choose from. Their options range from beef bulgogi all the way to pineapple.
