Alina Liu (12) moved to Montreal, Canada, before moving to Memphis, Tenn. She lived in Canada for four years before moving to Memphis because of her father’s new job at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

White Station High School’s Muslim Student Association traveled to the Tennessee state capitol to participate in a Day on the Hill. Some members were able to sit in on a mock house session and debate a bill, getting a chance to share their own opinions.

Kristen Branch is a sophomore at White Station and a first-year writer for The Scroll. She plays on the volleyball team and is an active member of Key Club, Spruce Up Sparta and the Humane Society Club. In her free time she enjoys reading books, baking various desserts and spending time with her dogs. Kristen is excited to begin her experience on staff!
