PIE uses multiple organizations to raise money
No, PIE does not mean the dessert. PIE stands for Partners in Education, the sole volunteer organization that supports White Station High School, staff and students. Members of PIE host breakfasts and luncheons for teachers, host college visits, support events like Freshman Orientation, host a Graduation Lock-in and much more. These activities, however, are only made possible by donations and fundraisers like Kroger Community Rewards, Amazon Smile and Superlo Community Rewards Card.
By creating an online account with a Kroger Card or phone number, you can link your Kroger account to White Station High School PIE.
“WSHS will receive a percentage of the money you spend at Kroger when you use your Kroger Plus card and designate WSHS PIE as your Community Rewards charity,” WSHS PIE’s website said.
Similarly, at Superlo you can either fill out a registration form or register online to join Superlo Community Awards.
“The president, Veda Cherry, said that anyone could add White Station High PIE, and a portion of their purchase would go towards PIE without any additional costs for the people participating,” Chinnu Alli(12), President of Eboard, said.
The last fundraising opportunity is selecting WSHS PIE as a charity to support each time you purchase something on Amazon. You can find this information on Amazon Smile’s homepage.
“AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices and shopping features as Amazon.com,” Amazon’s website said. “The difference is that when you shop on AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of your choice.”
Your donation will support the student journalists of White Station High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
