Procrastinating homework is delaying or postponing completing the assignment. Despite the amount of homework that ends up accumulating due to procrastination, students may end up procrastinating because of stress or lack of energy due to excessive commitments outside of school.

Both Amy Yu (10) and Amy Zhang (11) are new to tutoring, only starting in the last two years. However, in both cases they had students improve their grades.

Extra credit is an opportunity for struggling students to achieve their desired grade on an assignment. In today’s hectic world, there are many reasons why students might not get the best grades, making extra credit an effective way to lessen a student’s stress about school.

Grace Amgalan, Sports Team Leader

Grace is a junior and this is her second year on the Scroll staff. She plays golf for the school and is part of severest clubs like Student Council, HOSA, and Key Club. Outside of school, she loves watching the Grizzlies, trying new restaurants, volunteering at her church, and traveling with her friends and family. Grace is very excited to work as a Sports Team Leader!

Aidan Farris (11) competed at the Houston Classics in April 2023, which was the first meet of the year. Farris said the pain of running was worth it in the end because the White Station team successfully placed third in the 4x800 meter relay.

This year, the White Station Cheer Team has a total of 19 cheerleaders with two captains, Nadia Robinson (12) and Ava Guazzo (12). Captains are chosen by the coach based on their tranquility, leadership skills and good organization skills.
