Behind the scene of successful Grizzlies fan account
When most people look at sport fan accountants, they believe that they are run by men and normally wouldn’t expect a female to be behind the accountant.
This turned out to be completely wrong when Molly Morrison, a WSHS alum, was found to be running the most popular Grizzlies fan account on Twitter.
Morrison started the account when she was a 12 year old in middle school. The name of the account was especially special to her.
“The account name is Made in Memphis. My initials are M.M and that’s how it began,” Morrison said.
She tweeted throughout her years as a student at White Station High School. Morrison enjoyed keeping up with the Grizzlies and posting comments throughout the games.
“I love Memphis and the Grizzlies are a huge reason for that,” Morrison said. “It’s the main inspiration for making the account.”
Morrison decided that it was time to finally reveal that she was actually behind the Made in Memphis fan account since people had always thought it was a man instead of a woman.
“I just decided it was time to tell everyone who I am,” Morrison said. “I also wanted to connect with people as myself and to show men what women are capable of.”
Morrison continues to run the popular Grizzlies account even after revealing that she is behind everything because she loves Memphis and the Grizzlies.
“My two loves are writing and sports,” Morrison said.
