Tanya Tandon is a senior at White Station High School. Tanya has an aura that embodies the diversity of the activities she participates in. She is a leader in her community in more ways than one, whether it be as the founder of Indian Club at her school or one of the leading delegates in her Model UN team. Through the imposing influence of the Indian culture on her identity, she displays her culture through her dance experience in Kathak, Indian Semi Classical, Bollywood, and Bhangra dances. She participates in a multitude of activities that express the sentiments she has in regards to diversity and the call for action, such as but not limited to, UNICEF and her school newspaper. As an advocate and constituent, she closely works with Tennessee’s Congressmen. Tanya also demonstrates her beliefs as a blogger, speaker, and activist in her community in order to shine light on pressing issues. By challenging traditional ideas and stimulating new ones, she commands attention.
